What's Happening
(19th Oct 2005)
Here’s some more detail about what’s going on.
This site is becoming a wiki. The #1 problem with the old site was the person running it.
The plan here is I get out of the way and it becomes a useful repository of design patterns for PHP.
Right now all of the old articles have been migrated - see the indexes - The comments to articles have not yet been migrated they’re still around but haven’t decided how to use them yet
The site is locked down (no editing) for now until I get final issues sorted.
When it’s back up, it will require a login to edit pages - hoping to migrate old user accounts but not confirmed yet.
The other two big issues that need sorting out are the main page - want to do something along the lines of a Bliki there - and the RSS feeds, which seems to have a bug right now plus I want to avoid this.
The colors and design? Well for me this is a success, the point being to make reading easier on the eyes. Not that I can claim much - it’s based on this design by Chris Arndt, plus Andi, who did most of the work.
(17th Oct 2005) This site is getting back online, using Dokuwiki.
Right now have converted all the old content to Dokuwiki syntax but everything is locked down for the time being. More on what needs doing in due course. Head to the index if you’re looking for old stuff.
