Just ran into log4php - a log4j port!

Have done nothing more than glance at the code but it looks well factored. Could be there’s an issue with overhead, if you’re not using a PHP opcode cache, but that’s probably easy to fix with some “lazy includes”.

Something to consider and nice to see Java and PHP having common ground.
